As a therapist, it’s my job to help you understand why life feels so hard and what you can do to connect with a feeling of gratitude and wonder. I provide therapy for HELPAs (Healers, Educators, Leaders, Parents, and Activists/Artists) struggling to survive and make a difference in a world afflicted with white supremacy so that they can do the important work of making the world a safer place for children.
Issues that I can help you with:
- Fear stopping you from living your values
- Healthy communication
- Healthy masculinity
- Life purpose
- Life transitions
- Living in an ableist, ageist, homophobic, racist, sexist, transphobic and otherwise oppressive capitalist civilization on the brink of ecological collapse
- Low self-esteem
- Racial identity
- Recovery from toxic individualism
- Relationship issues
- Spiritual issues
Therapy for white supremacy culture starts with acknowledging all of the ways in which living in a racist, capitalist, patriarchal society is bad for children and other living things. The people I work best with tend to have a high level of compassion but struggle with boundaries and self-care. They want to be everything to everyone, and their awareness of all the suffering in the world only adds to their own suffering. I believe that the level of emotional distress that exists in the world today is evidence of the failure of civilization to take care of certain fundamental needs, and before we can be a part of the solution for humanity, we have to learn how to take care of ourselves. That’s where I come in, to help connect you with your power and restore your faith in yourself and the world.
$175 for a 50-minute session.
Sliding scale is available based on need.
